Program areas at Georgia Elks Charities
Scholarships are awarded each year to young men and women who are attempting to advance their education. The program is open to all high school seniors in the state.
The Elks organization sponsors activities for veterans in va hospitals and related facilities.
Elks aidmore childrens home maintains a facility for young women at risk between the ages of 12 and 21. Funds are provided to advance their education and to supplement living expenses.
Georgia Elks Charities participates in the Elks national foundation and the hixon scholarship fund sponsored by the Elks national organization.
Georgia Elks Charities sponsors a variety of events such as essay contests and traveling exhibits to promote awareness of the danger of drug abuse among young people.

Each year, the Elks sponsor basketball hoop shoots and soccer shoots at schools around the state to encourage participation in sports and to promote a message to youth to resist drug abuse. In addition, the Elks organization sponsors an americanism essay contest for high school students.
