Program areas at Girls on the Run of Northeast TN
During the fiscal year, Girls on the Run serviced Girls age 8-13 years old at sites with teams in eastern counties in TN. the after school character development programs use running to prepare Girls for a lifetime of healthy living and respect.
Concluding each season, a 5k race is held for participants of the Girls on the Run, achieving the physical goal of running and celebrating the Girls' lessons. During the fiscal year, hundreds of Girls, public runners, and volunteers particpate in the 5k races.
