Community Support: We were fortunate to be able to recruit over 400 coaches for the two seasons, along with dozens of site liaisons. We also enjoyed over 1,500 volunteers helping predominantly at the 5K, either as running buddies or helping with the event logistics. Our Executive Board and Associate Board are highly engaged and assist the team with fundraising, events and strategic guidance. Completion of the Program: With small team sizes (a ratio of 3 adult coaches to 15 girls on the team), the GOTRBA program has a high completion rate. 98% of girls completed the season and 94% of girls attended the Girls on the Run 5Ks either in Golden Gate Park in the Fall and Quarry Lakes, in Fremont in the Spring.
