Program areas at Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake

Girls on the run/heart & sole - Girls on track- we conduct two 10-week sessions each school year. We served approximately 2,200 Girls in 3rd-8th grade annually. Our goal is to build self-esteem and encourage healthy lifestyles so that Girls are less likely to engage in risky behaviors in adolescence and beyond.
Girls on the Run 5k- we host 5k Run events per year corresponding to the conclusion of each 10 week session. This event is the culmination of the educational process and gives the Girls a chance to shine and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
