Program areas at Girls Rock Rochester

Music programming for Girls and lgbtq+ youth and related adult community members. Most programming occurs during summer.due to covid-19 restrictions for summer camps, 12 mini-camps were held instead of two full one-week camps. A mini-camp is a week-long half-day in-person session with a group of 6-8 participants. The purpose of these camps is the educate and empower youth and form community bonds related to identity and music. We also held small online workshops throughout the year. The purpose of these workshops was to provide skill-based instruction on various musical concepts and instruments. Workshops consisted of groups of 4-6 people who would meet on a weekly basis, remotely, for 4 weeks at a time. Revenues and expenditures for online workshops were immaterial and thus not considered a separate service accomplishment.
