Glacier Nordic Club promotes and inspires a love of cross country skiing in the Flathead Valley through community programs, events, and groomed trails. Their ski team provides education programs for ages 4 to 18 and adults through Chet Hope Youth Ski League, Junior Jets, and other initiatives. Program areas at Glacier Nordic Club

Glacier Nordic Club - grooming and memberships has over 1000 individual and family members and grooms approximately 67 kilometers of trails at the Glacier Nordic center at the whitefish lake golf course and big mountain Nordic trails for its members and the public. We groom the meadow lake Nordic trails on the meadow lake golf course, and partner with the forest service to groom round meadows. We estimate that over 10,000 different users ski the trails we groom. We continually strive to deliver the best grooming product possible for our members. This category includes payroll for 4b & 4c.
Glacier Nordic shop located at the Glacier Nordic center is our hub for the winter months renting skis, teaching lessons, giving trail updates and selling passes and cross-country ski items and services. The shop is a location for members to buy and pick up passes and visitors to learn about cross-country skiing. The shop also hosts and teaches local school groups for skiing and lessons.
Glacier Nordic ski team provides ski education programs for ages 4 to 18 and adults through 1. Chet hope youth ski league- learn to ski program for ages 4 to 12, coached by volunteer coaches that meet for 7 sessions for $80 2. Junior jets -ages 8 to 11 learn and improve skate and classic skiing meeting twice a week 3. Prep team - ages 11 to 13 improve their skate and classic skiing, with the opportunity to race meeting three times a week 4. Teen adventure is 1 or 2 times a week and is less race focused. 5. Comp team for ages 14 to 18 meets the needs of competitive racers as well as recreational skiers and 6. Adult programs for all ages and levels to learn and improve ski technique. All of our programs encourage outdoor fitness and activity during the winter months, we provide affordable gear rental as well as scholarships for youth participants. Over 250 participated in our programs in 2022-2023
