Program areas at Global Leaders
Students spend 12 days in Guatemala as a culmination to their 9 month leadership program. They stay with host families, sharing traditions, culture and language. Students also spend time on 4 service projects that substantially benefit the community. These projects include building clean and efficient cookstoves, reforestation, assisting at a coffee cooperative, and volunteering at a local hospital and orphanage.
Students participate in a 9 month domestic leadership program that includes weekly service-learning opportunities with other local non-profit organizations monthly leadership seminars that focus on community issues and engagement.
