As of june 30, 2023, Global Partnerships (gp) had more than $172 million invested in 88 microfinance institutions, social businesses and cooperatives in 28 countries in latin america, the caribbean and subsaharan africa. Gp invests in social enterprises with sustainable solutions that help impoverished people increase their incomes and improve their lives, with investments in 18 distinct initiatives that address facets of poverty across livelihoods, education, energy, health, housing, and sanitation. The vast majority (more than 88%) of the funds invested by Global Partnerships are invested with microfinance institutions.
