Program areas at Global Peace Women
In 2023, Global Peace Women continued to work in its three focus areas of strengthening families, upholding the value and dignity of Women, and advancing Women's leadership. Through our volunteer base, of 25 country and project leaders, and additional 13 project implementors, all who work with local volunteer teams, we have engaged 360 volunteers in over 30 countries through our projects. Our diverse local projects range from entrepreneurship training for Women with disabilities, sanitary pad distribution and menstrual health awareness, mental health support and leadership training. We also have international leadership capacity trainings that raise local change makers. Sunshine family volunteer project raised 37 coordinators from 12 countries who implemented projects with 134 family volunteers in their respective nations, the Global Peace leadership academy, has provided over 130 Women with leadership training to date, and in 2023 we were a part of the Global Peace convention, engaging advocates for family and Women in service and dialogue for Peace and development. Our work seeks to empower and encourage Women to participate in peacebuilding from the home to the community, nation, and world, connecting with the vision of Peace as one family under god. All activities are lawfully permitted under the law of the state of Washington.
