GND Development Alliance organized to revitalize and transform the GND Recreation Area located adjacent to Stowe Elementary School and in the middle of the ST. Louis River Corridor in Duluth, MN. This year the Alliance continued work on various improvements, making progress on the skatepark. However, significant funds are needed to fully complete the project.

Program areas at GND Development Alliance

This year the GND Development Alliance completed raising the funds to complete the skate park, phase three of the project. Construction has begun and is expected to be completed by the end of the 2024 outdoor construction season. Programming for all ages has been well attended. We partnered with the local school district to provide increased summer programming for school aged children. We continue to partner with the duluth area ymca to provide programming for all ages.
