Goochland Pet Lovers

Dr. lori l. elliott medical fund: the dr. lori l. elliott medical fund supplements Goochland county's budget for the animals at the Goochland county animal shelter and adoption center (gcasac)and provides spay/neuter funding for every adoptable dog and cat, funding for medical treatment, microchips, training and shelter supplies. Good neighbor outreach program or good neighbor fund: the gno provides free veterinary care for owned dogs and cats of low-income residents in Goochland and powhatan. The gno addresses the chronic lack of veterinary staffing available in our immediate area and the absence of a low-cost veterinary practice by providing free monthly vet clinics in the gcasac's flag spay neuter clinic. Gno also addresses the issue of animal overpopulation in our area by paying for spay/neuter procedures, a requirement for participating in the program, if needed.
