Program areas at Good Meat Project

Farmers & ranchers marketing innovation network: surveyed 150 direct-to-consumer Good Meat farmers and ranchers to identify the marketing support and education needed. Based on results, gmp developed a collaborative a local Meat, local flavor bulk buying trade promotion, a marketing education series, a series of virtual peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and launched a 2nd year of the real burger of earth day grassfed beef trade promotion, altogether serving 500+ farmers and ranchers. Butchers & chefs opportunity network: began development and planning for a new butchers training program in Oregon. Hosted a virtual 6-month-long kitchen table chat series attended by over 100 community stakeholders to share their experiences raising and selling Meat. Good Meat breakdown: through our outreach and social media channels, we reached 5000+ consumers looking to define their values and find, buy, and cook local Good Meat. Partnered with Washington state department of agriculture, intertribal agriculture council, glynwood, wallace center, practical farmers of Iowa, southwest grassfed livestock alliance, grassworks, and friend of family farmers to provide individualized and group-focused technical assistance to direct-to-consumer Good Meat producers.
