Program areas at Good Samaritan Ministries and Thrift Store
The Store serves those in need via many different avenues. The merchandise for sale in the Store is offered at an affordable alternative to buying new and is also distributed to low income families and individuals who cannot afford to purchase it. The Store picks up merchandise throughout the community, participates in a recycling program, provides first-time employment and/or assists employees in job skill development. In addition, the Store supports the operational expense for the ministry and gives a portion of Store profits to be used in the assistance ministry payments.
Our place drop-in center is a peer run support program specializing in behavioral changes to include personal, medical, addiction and emotional challenges. Our place holds weekly groups with various topics on recovery, education, and referrals. All staff are certified peer supports with lived experiences to aid in provisions towards the next steps in life.
Good Samaritan assistance program provided payments for rent, utilities, medical and other emergency needs on behalf of those in need.
