Program areas at Good Shepherd Community Center
Preschool program for three year olds: this program equips children with the social and learning skills needed before starting kindergarten or headstart. During 2021, 113 preschoolers were served.
Social graces program: a social media etiquette class targeting pre-teens and teens. It targets online bullying, character both on and off line, appropriate posts, appropriate comments, and much more.
Clinic: the clinic provides free health care for uninsured people. It is staffed with volunteer doctors and nurses and is opened from 2-4 p.m., monday through friday.
Julia's place program: provides pre-employment transition services (pre- ets) by teaching work skills to young people with special needs between the ages of 14 and 21 years old. Empower youniversity program: mentor program for students ages 7 to 17.
