Retail store operations: Goodwill operates thrift stores in the local five county area which sell donated and purchased goods. These stores provide jobs and training as well as assistance and affordable goods to the local area's residents. In addition to the $2,309,534 net income resulting from the sale of purchased goods as reflected on form 990, page 9, part viii, line 10, the organization received $ 42,061,356 of donated goods related to this program during the year which are reflected within noncash contributions on form 990, page 9, part viii, line 1g.
Salvage and recycling: Goodwill operates a salvage and recycling program which provides jobs and job training as well as a means of salvaging and shipping clothing to those in need in other countries. The organization received $2,042,000 of donated goods related to this program during the year which are reflected within noncash contributions on form 990, page 9, part viii, line 1g.
E-commerce: Goodwill operates an e-commerce selling program which lists used goods, books and computers as well as high end donated goods for sale. In addition to the $996,631 of delivery income generated through the program, the organization received $ 2,783,948 of donated goods related to this program during the year which are reflected within noncash contributions on form 990, page 9, part viii, line 1g.
