Program areas at Grace4Kenya Charitable Foundation
In 2023 Grace4Kenya Charitable Foundation provided a total of $136,049 in grants for healthcare. This grant included about $70,000 in capital expenses to continue equipping the 24-bed Bendera Hospital, purchase the lot next door and renovate the building to be used for ancillary services, drill a bore hole and add water tanks, and construct a security perimeter wall. The hospital provides maternity, pediatric, and adult medical and surgical inpatient care and requires an operating grant of about $30,000 to guarantee the salaries of the medical team and administrators because of the delay in accounts receivable from insurance company reimbursements. Also included in grant was about $36,000 for Outreach which funds monthly mobile
In 2023 students attended classes in the new George Kendagor Christian Academy (GKCA) building that was recently constructed by Grace4Kenya. GKCA is a private school serving up to 350 primary students from preschool through grade 8. Grants totaling $375,000 were sent in 2021 and 2022 to complete construction of the new school building. $14,221 was sent in 2023 for some additional furnishings. G4K sent $39,000 in an operating grant to bridge the gap between tuition collected and operating expenses. Many of the students come from the surrounding, rural, poverty-stricken families who are subsistence farmers and can't afford full tuition.
In 2023 G4K provided $92,267 in grants for the Faith branch. Nine motorcycles were bought for rural pastors to help them access the members of their congregations. $31,833 was sent for the building fund of Bible Faith Church of Kenya (BFCK). $10,000 was added for the first time for a scholarship fund to assist with tuition and expenses for high school and college students. An operating grant of $39,184 was sent to supplement church revenue in paying administrative expenses and pastor salaries which included health insurance and social security for the first time in 2023.
