Program areas at GraceWorks Alaska
GraceWorks hosted about 1019 volunteers serving in 2021. In addition to our annual spring Iditarod Mission, we worked in 13 local parks and mobile home parks 5 days per week all summer. We did recreational and sports activities, crafts and Bible clubs in the parks with kids. In addition, we distributed about 13,000 meals to disadvantaged kids. Furthermore, we assisted several other nonprofits including Northern Lights Mission, Treasure Angels, Remad and the Hope Center. We also purchased and distributed thousands of dollars worth of food to families in need.
Overseas. This year due to COVID we were unable to take teams to Romania and Ukraine. Instead we sent gifts of 69,700 to local Romanian church workers to aid with Covid Relief and help Romanian pastors and their families in need. Some funds also went to Ukraine to help construct a church in a Ukrainian village.
