the Ono Grange made significant progress in the rebuilding of our Grange hall, a community-driven project that aims to restore a vital gathering space for local events, education and services. the reconstruction, suppored by volunteer efforts, grants and donations, had included the installation of foundational infrastructure, modern safety features, and expanded facilities. This project not only preserves the legacy of the Ono Grange but also enhances its capacity to serve our rural community, hosting essential programs and fostering civic engagement for years to come.
Throughout the 2023 fiscal year, the Ono Grange has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the local community by providing charitable contributions to the ono-igo community church. In recognition of their continued protnership and shared mission to serve the ono-igo area, we have made regular contributions for the use of their social hall on a monthly basis. This collaboration has enabled us to host essential community events and gatherings, furthering our efforts to promote social well-being, civic engagement and volunteerism within our rural community. Throught this partnership, we have strengthened our shared commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in need.
In december of 2023, the Ono Grange hosted our annual Ono cowboy santa event, which served over 150 local families and their children in our rural community. This event is designed to bring holiday cheer and support to those in need, providing gifts, food, and activities for children. Volunteers from the Ono Grange and the broader community collaborated to organize the event, ensuring that every child received a gift and participated in holiday-themed activities. the event also served as a gather point for neighbors, promoting community cohesion and offering a joyful holiday experience to all attendees. the Ono cowboy santa event aligns with our mission to support families in need and strengthen the social fabric of our rural community.
