Program areas at Great Adventure Ministries / Brianna Hammiller Treas
Bible studies: our tuesday night bible studies and mentoring groups is our primary focus, with studies of the biblical books of john, esther, ruth, 1 corinthians, and others being our major topics. We have also done special studies around advent. Our space hosts prayer walks that work to build the community that surrounds us, with over 15 locations we stop to pray for. These include the jail, pawn shop, bars, and police/fire departments. We have had around 75 people attend our studies in 2022.
Sozo coffeehouse is operated by Great Adventure Ministries as part of its outreach program. The venue provides the organization a place within the community to hold its outreach events and currently has a church on sunday morning, aa groups during the week, as well as many other organizations hosting events that work within our target audience for our intended purpose.
Outreach: we also continue to do volunteer work at the open door mission as well as fundraiser activities for organizations supporting Ministries, such as royal family kids camp and the lydia house. Our major outreaches consist of events that draw on the demographic we are trying to reach, which is 18-35 years of age and a gap within the church today. In 2022 we hosted board game nights, volleyball, movie nights, hiking trips, and comedy nights. These are considered part of our mission to create a healthy community that fosters growth spiritually through relationships.
