Program areas at Greater Baltimore Committee
BUSINESS ADVOCACY - Activities include multiple subject matter policy committee meetings with members to learn, forge consensus, and develop policy positions on business and industry related matters. Committees include, but are not limited to, education and workforce, transportation and mobility, health care, public safety, tourism, culture and entertainment, bioscience, and economic development. Policy positions are communicated to members and elected and appointed officials directly and indirectly through various methods of communication. Special workgroups are created for issues such as Coalition for a Second Chance business related issues pertaining to returning citizens, Bridging the Gap women and minority-owned businesses, and Regional Workforce Development Task Force preparing the next generation for workers.
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - Activities include hosting personal and professional development programs, informational events focused on prominent political, education, and business leaders, seminars on business and economic related issues, and recruitment of new members and retention efforts of existing members. Special programs include Next Up emerging leaders program and BWomen women business executive program.
