Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation (GBMC Foundation)

The Foundation is organized and operated exclusively as a nonprofit charitable organization within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Its purpose is (1) to raise, receive and administer funds for the benefit of, or to carry out and assist in the charitable, education, health care and other purpose and functions of GBMC healthcare, Inc. and greater baltimore medical center, Inc., organizations described under section 501(c)(3) and exempt from tax under section 501(a) of the code; (2) to have and exercise to the extent necessary or desirable for the accomplishment of any of the charitable purposes of the Foundation and imposed by section 501(c)(3) of the code, any and all powers conferred upon corporations by the Maryland general corporation laws.
