Dallas independent school district partnership - through the gdhcc'spartnership with the Dallas independent school district (disd), fundingis provided to make services available to m/wbe enterprises so they cansuccessfully compete for contracts with the disk. The gdhcc has had apartnership with disd for over 18 years. Just like with the bac and thegulf region sbtrc, the gdhcc successfully operates and exceedspreformance requirements. That is why it continues to secure fundingthrough a competitive process. The partnership requires that gdhccserve as a liaison to the Hispanic business community for vendorengagement with disd, disseminate communications to gdhcc membersregarding upcoming procurement opportunities and collaborate with thedisd's other m/wbe partners to provide support in their annual
The gdhcc covid-19 small business support program is a covid 19initiative designed to help and support small minority and woman ownedbusiness via technical assistance, education and training, to enhancebusiness operations and business opportunities, as well as connect toexisting gdhcc and partner resources associated with the ongoingcovid-19 recovery and relief efforts.
Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's us department oftransportation (dot) program strives to increase utilization of small,disadvantaged and/or minority-owned businesses in its procurement andcontracting processes. The gulf region small business transportationresouce center (sbtrc) is one of eleven regional field offices of theus departmet of transportation's office of small and disadvantagedbusiness utilization (osdbu). The gulf regions sbtrc provides servicesto small businesses in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, andnew mexico.
