Advocacy - We work to enhance the safety and accessibility of our transportation systems, including through transit, walking, bicycling, and other modes; and ways to increase the amount and affordability of housing to enable more people to afford to live in the region.The Transportation Equity Network, a coalition of advocacy groups and direct service nonprofits, advocated for transportation policies that achieve mobility justice. We also managed DC Sustainable Transportation, a coalition of business improvement districts.
Engagement - We encourage people to become more civically engaged by informing them about events at the neighborhood, city/county, and regional level and ways for them to participate in civic processes.
Publication: We published news and opinion pieces that educated residents of the Washington DC region about housing, transportation, and land use, focusing on equity and sustainability, with more than 3 million unique pageviews on our website.
Advertising - We administered website advertisements to raise revenue to support our nonprofit journalism and operations.Other program activities
