Greater Lakes outpatient services: Greater Lakes is part of the multicare behavioral health network, which is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Washington state. Its network includes Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare and multicare behavioral health in the south puget sound area and navos in king county. The Greater Lakes outpatient services and clinics provide a full range of outpatient counseling for children, adults, and families with behavioral needs in pierce county. The services include case and medication management, individual and family therapy.
Greater Lakes operates a 20-bed adult residential treatment facility and a 16-bed adult inpatient evaluation and treatment center. The residential treatment services include operation of facilities and rental of apartments. Facilities range from 24 hour care to supported independent living. In 2023 20 beds were available serving clients with 6,912 days of care.the evaluation and treatment facility operates a short term 16 beds unit primarily for persons admitted by civil detention. In 2023 the facility had 134 admissions and provided 2,684 days of patient care.
The Greater Lakes community outreach programs: outreach is the activity of providing services to any population that might not otherwise have access to those services. In 2023 Greater Lakes outreach focused on supporting programs for individuals experiencing homelessness or that have encountered the criminal justice system. Glmh has several programs that utilized evidence-based practices, such as, the felony forensic assertive community treatment (ffact) program, which assists individuals with severe, persistent Mental illness who've been charged with a felony, and the jail diversion program, which helps clients who were previously in jail transition into services in the community.
