Early childhood education - a full day, partial year head start and full day full year early head start program in odessa, pecos, monahans, saragosa and big spring, Texas. the head start program provides comprehensive health, educational, nutritional, social, and other services primarily to economically disadvantaged children ages 0-5. the program served 842 preschool-aged children. As of october 2022, gopb began offering childcare services beyond the regular head start school hours for families who needed extended care for their children. This service is offered at one location in odessa and is available for parents who qualify for child care subsidy through Texas workforce commission as well as private pay clients.
Food programs -Greater Opportunities of the Permian Basin, Inc. Serves a hot breakfast, a hot lunch and mid-afternoon snack under an annual contract with the Texas department of health and human services commission at all classroom locations. the program served 842 preschool-aged children.
