Representing 2,400 businesses across the Greater Phoenix region, the Chamber is the largest and most influential business network in the state of Arizona. The Chamber catalyzes regional prosperity with forward-thinking public policy, intentional economic growth, and diverse, prepared talent. Our members are committed to building a vibrant business community and benefit from the countless connections and opportunities being a Chamber member provides. In fiscal year 2023, an estimated 750,000 employees of member companies were served by the Chamber. Additionally, the Chamber is the leading voice of business at the state capitol and city hall. Member driven priorities guide our advocacy efforts, ensuring that the best interests of our member companies are always at the forefront. There were 295 engaged employers within 25+ public affairs and issue committee meetings working with the Chamber's public policy team advocating for Arizona businesses. With guidance from members, the Chamber supported 26 bills that were signed into law and opposed 34 bills that were defeated. This year's legislative successes include big wins for dual enrollment. The Chamber was instrumental in the passage of additional funding for dual enrollment contained in the fy24 state budget with a $15.5 million investment to help expand dual enrollment throughout the state to low-income areas so students can obtain college credit for a certificate or degree before graduating high school.the Chamber updated the publicly available diversity, equity & inclusion (dei) employer toolkit designed to be a starting point for companies to begin implementing best practices into their business. The toolkit engages the entire team, promotes awareness through relevant examples, and provides critical resources. In addition to the dei toolkit, the Chamber provides 5 virtual, easily accessible forums, a video library with tips and techniques for building a more inclusive workplace, monthly dei tips for businesses and a network of participating employers. The Chamber also connects member employees with other professionals, elected officials, critical information, and opportunities. The Chamber continuously works to build connections and expand networks, so that businesses in Arizona may continue to strive.
