Was given a grant from the Detroit Wayne Menta! Health Authonty to provide Suicide Prevention and Menta! Health FirstAid/QPR ‘Sessions utilizing qualified staff. Staff consisted of a Clinical Psychologist and a trained Certified Instructor in QPR (Question Persuade, Refer). Sessions were held on Mondays from 6-9 p.m and accommodated a maximum of 12 participants
Donation from MGM Casino to assist in financing the Neighborhood Takeover. This Takeover ‘5 held annually to show the community that we are intent on providing a safe haven. ‘The Takeover provided food, games a Boxing Ring with participants from the boxing community, Bounce houses, T-Shirts The Takeover lasted alldayandwas “Supported by the churches in the community, the fire department and the police department
