Greater Sacramento Muslim Cemetery

The organization provide burial services to the Muslim community of Sacramento and vicinities. In the process, families of the deceased pays the organization the costs incurred in the opening and closing of burial plots. The rates paid to the organization is approximately between 1,000 to 1,500 for adults and between 495 - 1,000 for babies and children. In addition, the families also donates to the organization. The monies received for burial services are reported as program service revenues. The organization also receives monies from families as prepayment of burial plot expenses. These payments are not revenues but are deposits for future burial of the contributor for himself or family members and persons he designates. These deposits amounting to 325,251 are recorded as liabilities in the balance sheet.
