Program areas at Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce
Tourism: Funded by grant revenue to promote tourism for local businesses in the greater Sandpoint area by providing national, international andregional advertising opportunities.
Committees/Programs: Chamber Ambassadors and Events Committee promotebusinesses and economic vitality in the area. Leadership Sandpoint is aprogram dedicated to identifying and training local business leaders andencouraging community participation to sustain our communities.
Visitor Center: Fielded telephone calls and visitor inquiries regardingSandpoint from persons wanting visitor, relocation, employment and business relocation information. Operated information center to promote tourism.
Other fundraising activities: The Chamber sponsors three large events inthe community to promote local businesses and to bring in visitors to addto the economic vitality. The events are Summer Sampler, SandpointBeerfest and the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting the day after Thanksgiving.
