The Greater Tucson Fire Foundation assesses and responds to unmet needs of the Greater Tucson firefighter community by facilitating access to health and wellness resources, while recognizing the firefighting heritage and culture. The organization is dedicated to assisting the Greater Tucson fire community with funding, tools, technology, advanced training, equipment, survivors' help, public education campaigns and human services to support these brave men and women. Michael Mckendrick runs the foundation.

Fight the three main killers of american firefighters: cardiac, cancer, mental health a. cardiac is addressed through training fitness intructors. 100 firefighters received peer fitness certification and continuing education b. Cancer is addressed through advanced cancer screens for firefighters. 50 firefighters received "one test" cancer screens c. mental health is addressed through bringing down barriers to access to qualified mental health providers for firefighters and their families via vetting provider and covering copays to the provider. 2. We served the following Fire angencies in 2022:amr,borderpatrol,dhs,drexel, heights,federal ,golder ranch,green valley,northwest,palominas, mesa fire,pascua yaqui, portland Fire, picture rocks, rincon valley, rio rico, rural metro, south Tucson, sunsites Fire, tohono o'odom, tubac, Tucson airport, Tucson Fire, 4 other police agencies.
