Blue Horizons Project: Manages Solarize Campaign, the weatherization part of Energy Savers Network, Home Energy Chats and the plan to get to Buncombe County's community goal of 100% renewable energy by 2042. - 5MW PV Solar Installed as of Dec 2022. Energy Savers Network (ESN): Weatherization for income qualified homes. ESN serves as our main program for income qualified persons living in Buncombe County. The Healthy Homes Initiative falls under the ESN umbrella. - 192 homes weatherized in 2022, making our grand total 875 homes weatherized in the history of the organization.
Continuing Ed Classes: This program is for CE classes for builders, agents and other people in the building industry specifically, but others are welcome to attend. There is a small fee for CE classes. If you're a member, it's a reduced fee. -184 industry professionals completed our continuing education classes in 2022
Appalachian Offsets: This program allows individuals and businesses to offset their carbon footprint by donating an equivalent monetary amount. This donation goes into nonprofit and community green and sustainable projects, usually for solar. -898.79 tonnes of CO2 offset from the equivalent of $17,975.84 donated in 2022 Green Built Homes - This program is a voluntary green building certification program. There is a fee for the certification, so I believe this should be labeled as a fee for service. -142 homes were certified Green Built in 2022, making our grand total 2746 homes certified in the history of the organization. -Membership - When people become members, they do receive discounts on other programs and services, like the continuing ed classes or green home certification. -We had 256 members as of 12/31/2022.
