Program areas at Growing Leaders
Growing Leaders provided 114 training events for approximately 25,000 people across the United States during fiscal year 2023. Most of the events were for adults who teach, coach, or mentor young people and to equip them to better connect with the emerging generation. These training events prepared adults to teach social emotional learning, leadership, and character development: the soft skills needed for student to lead in real life. Some events were offered directly to students to inspire and motivate them to fulfill their potential and take on real life opportunities and challenge. It is estimated that the material and content of these events reached over 5,000 students in fiscal year 2023.
In addition, Dr. Tim Elmore, The Founder of Growing Leaders, wrote a weekly blog, co-hosted weekly podcasts with Andrew McPeak, Vice President of Content, and wrote two e-books to better engage with and help others engage with the emerging generations. Growing Leaders also published a book geared specifically towards educators entitled, "Ready for Real Life". These efforts reached over 100,000 people who subscribe to Growing Leaders' social media channels.
Growing Leaders provided digital character, leadership, and soft skills training resources for students from 520 schools, sports teams, and other organizations working with young people. The primary curriculum is called "Habitudes: Images that Form Leadership Habits and Attitudes and it uses the power of images, conversations, experiences to teach important life skills in a way that students today want to learn. The resources are provided in both digital and print formats. It is estimated that the resources were shared with 156,744 students in fiscal year 2023 and taught by 59,739 facilitators. Growing Leaders also released year three, of a three-year curriculum for Middle School Social Emotional Learning in our Habitudes Online platform.
