Program areas at Growth Sector Company
Growth Sector works with more than 30 community colleges and universities around the country, as well as major employers, to develop pathways to degrees and careers in engineering and computer science. Recognizing the financial, academic, and social challenges facing many community college students seeking to pursue a b.s. Degree Growth Sector is piloting multi-year, year-round stem degree pathways integrating academic learning with paid research and work experience. We anticipate some of these pathways will take the form of formal engineering apprenticeships developed in partnership with employers and leading to high paying careers. To date Growth Sector has served over 3,000 students, including 800 placed into paid internships, research opportunities, and learning programs.
