Early Childhood Coalition creation for Guadalupe County. Development of a new coalition that supports families and children of Guadalupe County with resources. This coalition creation is being funded for three years and will require independent financial sustainability.
The Pecos Sunflower Festival is also known as the Blue Hole Cienega conservation service. This small interest group assists with an endangered sunflower that grows in Guadalupe County. The group is working to create environmental conservation for this endangered plant that lives in wetlands in Santa Rosa, NM. This group holds an annual festival in honor of the plant that promotes conservation and community development. The Guadalupe Community Development Corporation is their fiscal sponsor.
Centene Foundation offered our organization a grant in the amount of $30,000 to support undocumented and vulnerable families and individuals in Guadalupe County. The grant was used to better understand what the undocumented population is in need of in regards to social determinants of health that include: food insecurities, homelessness, clothing, home utilities, healthcare, mental health, etc.
