NCPTT-DOI; Historic Ecology of the Crystal River; A study to define the parameter's of the historic ecology of the Crystal River & impacts from coastal & marine forces on site survival; define methods for protecting landforms & archaeological sites; create substantive database of change data; develop pathways for future impacts ad site protection strategies. Project is significant at the local state & federal levels to understand the impacts of climate change & sea level rise on potentially significant cultural resources.
City of Ocala; Fort King Heritage Assoc.; Fort King Blacksmith Shop; locate identify & evaluate the historic archaeological remains to facilitate an accurate reconstruction on the Fort King National Historic Landmark NHL site in Ocala Florida. Project is important contribution to the long term interpretation of U.S. Army life at the fort 1827-1844 and the role of campaign and fort logistics during the first and second Seminole Wars 1817-1827 & 1835-1842
ABPP-DOI; Chucochatti-Red Village; location identification &evaluation of earliest Seminole village in south-central Florida; associated with the earliest movement of ethnological Seminole out of Georgia and key location of Seminole resistance during the Seminole Wars. Project is highly significant at local state & federal levels producing invaluable data on the lifeways of the earliest Seminole pioneering in Florida and its's consequences on non-indigenous American pioneering resulting in the ensuing three sequential Seminole Wars 1817-1854
