Program areas at H2O for Life
H2O for Life Schools and eighty-three Program Partners pledged $142,114.46 between July 1st, 2022, and July 1st, 2023. Thus far, they have raised $151,715.75 towards WASH projects at schools worldwide, supported by our implementing partners. Our implementing partners match our funds, making the total global impact $303,431.50 towards essential WASH projects.
Seventy schools participated this year, along with thirteen other community partners. Staff delivered thirty-nine direct presentations to our schools, presentations to five community groups, thirteen teacher trainings, seven monthly seminars to our high school fellows, and presented at five educational conferences. We supported twelve high school fellows as they led projects at their school and explored careers in water advocacy. Our mini-grant program allocated $5,691 to twelve schools, and they raised $29,637 to go towards WASH projects globally. Four new STEM and environmental science lessons were created to further engage our schools in WASH education.
