Habitat for Humanity - Middle East

Affiliates - grassroots organizations of local people coming togetherto address local needs are independent, not-for-profit groups that areapproved by the national offices of Habitat for Humanity Middle east(hfhme) and operate within a covenant agreement with hfhme. Allaffiliates are encouraged to be self-supporting in their fundraisingefforts; however, hfhme also solicits contributions, both cash andin-kind, on behalf of the affiliates. Some affiliates in developingnations, where severely limited resources constrain local fundraising,receive the majority of their funding from hfhme. All the affiliatesare expected to tithe ten percent of their unrestricted cashcontributions to Habitat work outside their own country.
