Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area brings people together to build homes, communities and hope with a mission of building, selling and financing affordable housing for low-income families in the Jackson, Mississippi Metropolitan Area. Seeking to put God's love into action, they infused $2.5mm into small and minority-owned businesses and the local economy during 2021 with the ongoing construction of one new home and transforming 11 previously owned homes into safe affordable homes for 11 families. Selected families complete this mission by becoming responsible homeowners.

During 2023, hfhmca infused $2.88mm into small and minority-owned businesses and the local economy with the ongoing construction of three new homes and the transforming of six previously owned homes into safe affordable homes for nine families. Selected families complete a rigorous program that include financial management, wills and estate planning, completion of at least 250 hours of volunteer service and ongoing support as they navigate homeownership. Successful homeownership is one of the keys to generational wealth. Seventeen homeowners paid off their mortgages during 2023.
