Through the financial support and volunteer efforts of partnerships with local government, corporations, and faith organizations, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville has helped individuals and families in five counties achieve Greater stability and build equity through homeownership, celebrating its 1,000 homeowner in 2022. Habitat's homeownership program prepares qualified applicants through education classes, while creating shared hopes and shared experiences on the build site with thousands of local volunteers from diverse cultural and social economic backgrounds. Habitat for Humanity operates its social enterprise, the restore, in three counties diverting more than 1,500 tons of materials from city landfills annually while generating revenue to support the work of the ministry.
