Program areas at Habitat for Humanity - Omaha HFH
Habitat Omaha built or renovated homes for 49 partner families in 2022. This homeownership program serves families whose income is generally 30% to 60% of the area median income. Many families who qualify come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. All homeownership-qualifying families receive "home journey" mortgage readiness education sessions and one-on-one coaching to assist with financial planning, budgeting and home maintenance. The mortgage-ready counseling puts participants on one of three paths: a Habitat Omaha home, a home on the open market with Habitat Omaha financing, or an open market home and financing. About 300 families received counseling in 2022.

Habitat Omaha's home repair program compledted 288 home repairs in 2022. Various home repair programs assist homeowners. These programs and services range from water heaters, exterior repairs and hvac systems to energy efficiency upgrades to lower the cost of utilities. Qualified families receive a no-interest loan to help pay for necessary repairs.
