Program areas at Hacker Dojo
Physical space for community collaboration. Low cost workspace and event hosting for community members. Membership has grown to over 180 people. Over 2,000 people attended events last year. Providing a place to engage with other members of the tech community, find support in job searching, resume prep and interview practice, learn about entrepreneurship and even launch new companies and ideas.
Summit after school programs. In 2023, we launched a new program teaching classes on entrepreneurship, robotics and coding at 3 area high schools. Inspire and teach students, and showcase pathways to success beyond just attending college. This program is ongoing.
Intel OpenVINO Workshop Series. Hacker Dojo offered a series of workshops on building applications with Intel's OpenVINO, culminating in a community hackathon. These workshops provided direct training and techniques for people using OpenVINO, leading to improved job readiness, potential new startups, and better technical understanding of developing and implementing LLMs.
