Hair Peace Charities provides financial, emotional, and spiritual support to local women and girls who have lost their hair due to the effects of cancer treatments. Its founder/director, bonny diver, spoke with 462 local women, providing them with insight and advice regarding their particular cancer diagnosis. Of those 462 women, 413 received up to $200 toward the purchase of a wig needed due to side-effects of cancer treatment. This helps them regain their self-esteem, identity, and sense of self.
