Program areas at Hale County Stock Show
Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school senior student exhibitors. The exhibitors in the Show are County 4-h and ffa students. The organization grants scholarships of $500 per scholarship to assist with general college expenses.
Showing animals teaches responsibility, record keeping, teamwork, and animal husbandry. Prize money and ribbons/trophies awarded to Stock Show winners and sales proceeds distributed to exhibitors whose animals qualified for the annual sale. Revenue is derived from entry fees, donations and direct purchases of animals that qualified for the Stock Show sale.
