Program areas at Halleck Creek Ranch
In 2023, our participant community grew, and so too did the list of donors, supporters and volunteers who generously gave their time and financial support to ensure the success of our mission. Thanks, in part, to maja kristin's gift of rockrose Ranch (a 120-acre equestrian facility), our programs grew beyond what we could have achieved in our old rancheria location. In 2023, over 85 students hit the trail throughout 45 weeks of therapeutic riding lessons; 25 children made new friends and built new memories over four weeks of inclusive summer horsemanship camp. Full mission statement at Halleck Creek Ranch we educate and inspire all to live a life without barriers. Our highly trained staff and dedicated volunteers empower people with disabilities through adaptive horseback riding and equine-assisted learning programs, offered in a beautiful, natural environment. Our programs nurture physical and mental growth, support families and caregivers, and foster inclusion and community
Over 30 students gained practical job and social skills over four sessions of our vocational and life skills program; 12 veterans who previously experienced homelessness were supported over three 8-week sessions of equine facilitated psychotherapy; our horse skills unmounted horsemanship program was relocated and expanded to rockrose Ranch; numerous inclusive events and celebrations were hosted at both locations, bringing family and friends together; and our low tuition subsidized all of our program participants, and an additional 40% of participants were provided scholarship support to ensure our programs continue to be available to all.
