Harriet?s community garden project is a grassroots initiative; creating a thriving garden in the heart of our vibrant city, and our vision is to continue cultivating fresh, sustainable produce while also cultivating a sense of unity, education, and environmental stewardship. The garden aims at addressing key challenges faced by our community, including limited access to fresh, nutritious food, educational opportunities, and a communal gathering space. By establishing a community garden, we aim to create a sustainable and inclusive environment that promotes health, and social cohesion.
Racial reconciliation program - we believe, the profound impacts of trauma, mental health challenges, and limited job opportunities as a result of societal racism, demands the urgency and significance of addressing these issues head-on. Racial healing and reconciliation are inherently interconnected; while racial healing involves acknowledging the deep-seated wounds inflicted by racism in our communities, reconciliation is the dedicated effort to mend these wounds and pave the way for a more just and equitable future.
