Program areas at Harrisons Playmakers
Harrison'Harrisons's Playmakers held the buffalo free sports day camp at highmark stadium in buffalo, new york on june 18, 2023. This camp offered attendees opportunities to participate in numerous sports and recreational activities allowing them to experience being part of a team, find courage, make friends, and increase their physical fitness. There were 542 attendees, including 348 individuals who are at-risk or have developmental differences from the ages of 7 to 30 years of age,and 194 parents or guardians. There were 10 station leaders, 10 support aides, and 120 volunteers present to help make the camp a success. The pay-it-forward recipient of assistance from our organization for this camp was open arms rescue of western new york.
Harrison'Harrisons's Playmakers held the omaha back to school shopping event in omaha, Nebraska on july 17, 2023. This event offered attendees the opportunity to participate in a back to school shopping event where each attendee was given $50.00 to spend at an omaha department store. The purpose of this event was to give attendees opportunities and experiences that they would not have otherwise had. There were 58 attendees from the community who are at-risk or have developmental differences at this event. There were also 37 additional gift cards given out to attendees, and the department store provided goody bags to each attendee. The pay-it-forward recipient of assistance from our organization for this event was the salvation army and ketv 7 can help back to school backpack program.
Harrison'Harrisons's Playmakers held the omaha free sports camp in omaha, Nebraska on june 10, 2023. This camp offered attendees opportunities to participate in numerous sports and recreational activities allowing them to experience being part of a team, find courage, make friends, and increase their physical fitness. There were 418 attendees, including 180 individuals who are at-risk or have developmental differences from the ages of 4 to 40 years of age and 238 parents or guardians. There were 20 station leaders, 12 support aides, and 100 volunteers present to help make the camp a success. The pay-it-forward recipient of assistance from our organization for this camp was the omaha home for boys.
