After every school day, children ages 5 to 12 are escorted to manhattan high school to participate in the after-school program until 6 p.m. during this time, they are given a nutritious snack and enjoy a healthy balance of play, homework help, academic learning, and creative projects. Through a project-based learning community (lc) design taught by a dedicated staff of instructors, our students are provided with affordable, high-quality programming that offers educational, artistic, and enrichment activities.
Community support:hartley House's support to the local community is crucial. Hartley House provides bingo for 30-40 seniors every monday afternoon and yoga each thursday for 25-30 participants. Hartley House also hosted guest speakers and informal socialization for potentially isolated seniors.
