Program areas at Hawaii Local2030 Hub
Hawai'Hawaii'i Local2030 Hub is a united nations Local2030 Hub comprised of a local hawai'Hawaii'i green growth network of over 150 member organizations, and a global Local2030 islands network committed to advancing economic, social and environmental priorities. As a public-private partnership, hawai'Hawaii'i Local2030 Hub works to scale local solutions to global challenges through the aloha+ challenge and united nations sustainable development goals (sdgs). Members are invited to hawai'Hawaii'i Local2030 Hub events, forums, and activities, including the annual member retreat. Members may participate in hawai'Hawaii'i green growth quarterly working groups, initiatives, and opportunities to advance organizational goals and support joint priorities identified by the network.
Hawai'Hawaii'i Local2030 Hub supports the sustainability business forum (sbf), which is a voluntary peer-to-peer ceo led group of business executives who are taking the initiative to shape a sustainable future for hawai'iHawaii'i. Sbf members share a deep commitment to Hawaii and a desire to drive private sector action to achieve hawai'i's statewide sustainability goals. The sbf convenes quarterly at the executive level to engage in a strategic dialouge and catalyze action on joint initiatives.
Hawai'Hawaii'i Local2030 Hub manages the aloha+ challenge dashboard which is an online open-data platform to track progress, provide accountability and ensure transparency on hawai'i's sustainability goals. The dashboard was developed through a multi-year process that engaged hundreds of diverse public, private, and community stakeholders across the state in partnership with the four countries to identify agreed statewide indicators.
