Program areas at Hawaii Solar Energy Association
Promote, establish and maintain standards of excellence, quality and professionalism in the renewable Energy industry; stimulate the development of free interchange of information accross the industry and within each sector; and advocate for the betterment of the conditions of those engaged in the industry by providing a forum for the exchange of information that will give direction and lead to remedial and other measures addressing these objectives. Such forums include the sponsorship of events such as seminars, conferences and similar activities where members meet industry colleagues and leaders where ideas, opportunities and common industry matters are shared. There were approximately 62 member companies in 2022.
We engage in efforts that support positive reform to strengthen the industry's professionalism in various areas of common interest, including safety and health practices; continuing education; quality assurance; and cost structure through advancement of education; dissemination of information; and legislative support, including making available nonpartisan analysis, study or research; providing advice and assistance to legislative committees upon request; and educating the community and members regarding legislation or proposed legislation in furtherance of these purposes. We convene and nurture relationships among community members, government, private and public sector industry businesses, and experts to discuss, identify and cooperate in developing plans and policies on issues relating to the secure and sustainable sources of renewable energy.we expand the understanding of governmental bodies and other stakeholders on issues relating to renewable Energy by providing information and instruction directed at the solution of long term sustainable technologies.
