Program areas at Hawega Foundation

In 2021 the Hawega Foundation launched the website hawega.org and worked closely with a member of the Datooga tribe in Eastern Tanzania to negotiate with the families of 5 girls to not practice FGM on their girls in exchange for the Hawega Foundation to send their girls to school. After identifying the initial 5 girls in our scholarship program, we identified the school in which they will attend starting in January 2022.
